Obituary for Margaret Webb Quesenberry

A beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend has passed into the loving arms of her Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ.

Margaret Webb Quesenberry entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. For eighty eight years, she graced her family and friends with her faith and feisty spirit. Throughout her life she maintained a simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her legacy of constant nurturing, love and faith. Her signature gifts of boundless energy and original witty sayings will never be forgotten. She was a remarkable cook and talented seamstress. She was simply magnificent.

A resident of Collinsville, Margaret was born in Allisonia, Virginia on August 27, 1929 to the late Toney Webb and Dora Seagle Webb.

In addition to her parents, ¬¬¬¬she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Herbert Quesenberry , sisters Hattie W. Dowdy and Iris Webb Sayers and brothers Ray M. Webb, Carson Richard “Dickie” Webb and Dailey Seagle Webb.

She enjoyed the company of her one surviving sibling, Hugh (Naomi) Webb at her youngest grandson’s wedding this past Saturday .

Margaret’s family was her passion and delight. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Regina (Jim) McMillian, Kay (Chris) Holbrook and Jane Ann (Jeff) Davis; granddaughters Joanna (Ryan)Schwartz, Amanda (Alex) Fenson and Kasey Davis; grandsons Justin( Kaitlyn) Holbrook, Austin (Hillary) Holbrook , and Corey (Olivia) Davis; great-granddaughters Sophia Holbrook, Skylar Holbrook and Isabella Schwartz, and great-grandsons Daniel Schwartz and Abraham Fenson as well as numerous extended family members.

She was a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church for 50 plus years and loved serving her Lord as a past children’s Sunday School teacher and VBS worker. She was a faithful member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School class; currently served on the church Bereavement Committee; and enjoyed visiting her shut-ins.

The family will receive friends this Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services in Martinsville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Fort Trial Baptist Church in Stanleytown with Dr. Joey McNeill officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations designated for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Program may be made to Fort Trial Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at Henry Memorial Park.

"Margaret, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, praying for us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, and loving us. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell sweet lady. You were simply magnificent. ‘See you on the other side!’"
