Obituary for Frances Doolin Myers

On Friday, August 17, 2018, Frances Doolin Myers passed away peacefully while a resident at Riverside Health & Rehab Center, Danville, Va. Frances will be remembered as a loving and dedicated lady who not only loved her family, she also loved to fish, sew and cook. She retired from Dan River Mills after 40 years as a weaver.

Frances was born on May 29, 1927, in Danville to the late Lora Gee Doolin and the late Sam Doolin. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son Mike Hudgins of Danville, a sister Charlotte Holland, two grandchildren Betty Jo and Greg Hudgins, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Jo Hudgins, a sister Bessie Snead, and a brother Ralph Doolin.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at Highland Burial Park, Danville with Rev. Lawrence Morris officiating.
