George Woody “G.W.” Hutchings, Jr., 91, of Danville, Va., passed from this life on Monday, March 19, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Petty Hutchings; his daughters, Janice H. Alexander and husband, Jerry, and Mattie H. Carter; and his son, A. Keith Hutchings; along with a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. and funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at New Mine Creek Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 1525 Malmaison Road, Blairs, Va. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, Danville.
