Obituary for Shelly Thompson Staley

Shelly Thompson Staley, age 57 of 1018 Vicar Road, Danville, VA passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born May 28, 1960 in Virginia to the late Alan Thompson and Shirley Dillon Ventry. Shelly was married to Robert Lee Staley who survives of the residence. She was of the Methodist faith, was director of Nursing for Stratford Health Care and Rehab for a number of years, she also worked as an RN for several medical facilities in the area.

In addition to her mother and husband she is she is survived by a daughter, Randi Staley of Danville; two sons, Justin Staley and Rusty Staley both of Danville; a sister, Lori Thompson of Winston Salem, NC and a brother, Steven Thompson of Danville.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke., Danville, VA 24540 with the Rev. Dennis McDonald officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and mailed to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
