Ralph Nicholson Hager, Jr., 84, of Martinsville, VA passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 22, 1934 in Bluefield, WV to the late Ralph Nicholson Hager, Sr. and Virginia Myrtle Tabor Hager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clayton Gibson; and grandson, Joshua Hager.
Rev. Hager was a pastor at various churches across the country. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and he attended Hope Community Church of Winston-Salem, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Angle Hager of the home; sons, Nick Hager and wife, Jennifer of Baton Rouge, LA and Darrell Hager and wife, Tammy of Springfield, MO; and sister, Joan Davis of Roanoke, VA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Heather Burnam, Clint Hager, Daniel Hager, Lyndsey Hager, and Stephanie Hager; and great-grandchildren, Joshua Ramirez, Jonathan Ramirez, Jacob Ramirez, Drew Poché, and Charlie Hager.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Bishop Paul Frances Lanier officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services and other times at the home. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
