James Walter Campbell, 59, of Amherst, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 at his home.
Born in Pound, VA, June 25, 1959, Mr. Campbell was the son of the late Joe H. and Janice J. Shortt Campbell. He was a skilled artist and a supervisor with American Steel Company. He truly loved his family, especially the children. His favorite times were playing with his great nieces and fishing with his grandson. He also loved his dogs.
In addition fo his parents,, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Lipski Campbell.
Survivors are his daughter, April Campbell; stepson, David Bailey; sisters: Sharon Holdren (Emmett) and Wanda Bond (James); brothers: Joe D. Campbell (Peggy) and Donald L. Campbell; grandson, Ivan Gabel, nephew and care giver, Jeremiah Bond; nephews: Joshua Campbell, and Jonah Campbell; niece and care giver, Kaley Bond; nieces: Maranda Campbell, Jessica Bond, Rebecca Juarez and Relene Shrader; great nieces: Halla, Isabella, Neveah, Kelsie and Kaylene; great-nephews: Kaleb, Antonio, Luke, Kyle, Brogan, Gabe, Ethan and Elliott and his special friend and the mother of his child, Pam Campbell.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Wesleyan United Methodist Church, 167 Kilmarnock Lane, Amherst.
