James Edward “Jim” Ingram, 78, of Martinsville, VA passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home. He was born July 27, 1940 in Henry County, VA to the late Noah Ingram and Myrtle Spencer Ingram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Ramsey.
Jim was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church and worked at Fieldcrest Mills as a foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Flanagan Ingram of the home; daughters, Cathy Plumb and husband, Parker of Winchester, VA and Alice Ann Luther and husband, David of Ridgeway, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Martha Ingram of Axton, VA; and grandchildren, Alex Plumb, Lauren Luther, and Joshua Luther.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September, 28, 2018 at Stone Memorial Christian Church with Minister Lawrence Harris and Minister Tim Wood officiating and Worship Minister, Dan Calloway. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 also at the church and other times at the home. Burial will follow the services at Minter Family Cemetery on Greenhill Drive in Martinsville, VA.
