Life Legacy

Margie Dix Fuller, 81, formerly of 205 Parrish Road, Danville, VA, died while a resident of Riverside Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, Danville on Saturday, September 15, 2012.

Born August 11, 1931 to the late Ollie B. Snead Dix and the late Ross Martin Dix, she was married to the late Charlie Lee Fuller. Mrs. Fuller was of the Baptist faith, and worked for 39 years in the 1-B Weave Room of Dan River Mills, Inc. before her retirement.

Mrs. Fuller is survived by a daughter, Debra E. Headley and husband, Jerry; four sons, Allie Lee Fuller of Angiers, NC, Daniel Ray Fuller and wife Billie Jo of Nashville, NC, Ronald Leo Root of Orlando, FL and Larry Wayne Root of Campobello, SC; three sisters, Gracie D. Lumpkin of Danville, Alice D. Bierer and Faye D. Limanni, both of Gilford, NH; three brothers, Thomas W. Dix and Douglas N. Dix of Milton, NC and Clyde M. Dix of Gibsonville, NC.

In addition, Mrs. Fuller is survived by a special friend, Martha Scearce, three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fuller is predeceased by one son, Kenneth Edward Fuller, three sisters, Charlotte Owen, Helen Stout and Virginia Moore, and three brothers, Raymond A. Dix, John R. Dix and Harry Lee Dix.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Christian Church, 20581 Hwy 29 North, Chatham, VA, officiated by Minister Michael Waters and Rev. Frank B. Fuller. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation of friends will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home, Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville and at other times will be at the residence, 205 Parrish Road, Danville, VA.
