Obituary for Roland L. Arnn

Roland L. Arnn, age 90 of Danville passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born January 5, 1927 in Pittsylvania County to the late Hugh W. and Janie Burch Arnn. Mr. Arnn was married to the late Blanche Payne Arnn. He was a member of Rivermont Baptist Church. Roland proudly served his country as a member of the US Airforce. He retired from the US Postal service.

Mr. Arnn is survived by two daughters, Sandra Gayle Godfrey and husband David of Hertford, NC and Dianne Guill and husband Mike of Danville; a sister, Selma Sanders; a brother Landon Arnn; a half brother, Hugh W. Arnn; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by two brothers, Norman Arnn and Bernard Arnn; two sisters, Margaret Collins and Mildred Saunders

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc. West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, VA 24541 with the Rev. Joel Fletcher Officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by American Legion Dan River Post 1097. A private Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends following the service at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel. And other times at the residence of his daughter 1104 Lockett Dr., Danville, VA.
