Obituary for James "Po Sam" Howard Pritchett

James “Po Sam” Howard Pritchett, 65, of 628 Kemper Road, Danville, Va., passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at his residence. He was born July 3, 1952, in Danville to the late Mary Ellen Pritchett and the late James Thomas Debro. Mr. Pritchett is survived by his loving wife, Sabrina Gravett Pritchett. He worked for Dibrell Bros. Inc. for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Pritchett was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pritchett is survived by his daughter, Danielle Harris of Danville; his stepsons, Avanti Gravett and Avis Gravett, both of Danville; his brothers, Henry Allen Pritchett of Danville, and Philenza Joe Pritchett of Jacksonville, N.C.; as well as five granddaughters and two grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchett was predeceased by brothers, Nathan Pritchett and Lawrence Pritchett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel with Rev. Jonathan King officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
