Obituary for Clyde Alfonza Logan

Clyde Alfonza Logan, 62, of 223 Wendell Scott Drive, Danville, Va., passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at Sovah Health Danville. He was born July 1, 1955, in Pittsylvania County, Va. to Ethel Giggetts Logan and the late Alfonza Logan. He is survived by his fiancée, Sarah Wimbush. Mr. Logan proudly served in the US Army. He worked for Compton Construction for over 20 years and then was employed with Dameron Plumbing, prior to his retirement. Mr. Logan was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his fiancée and mother, Mr. Logan is survived by his daughters, Ashley Logan, Renita Whitehead and Antrese Gregory (Darvin); his sisters, Frances Dalton (Raymond) and Barbara Pritchett; and his brothers, James Logan (Debra) and Larry Logan (Linda), all of Danville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Taniya Gregory, Darvin Gregory, Jr., Darviana Gregory, Daylin Gregory, Tamorea Miller and Roqez Whitehead; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, 223 Wendell Scott Drive, Danville.
