Obituary for Carroll "Mike" Hunley

Mike Hunley, 67, of Martinsville, VA, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 3541 Barrows Mill Rd. Martinsville, VA. He was born on June 26, 1950 in Martinsville, VA, to Esther Brugh Hunley and the late Alfred D. Hunley, Sr.

Mr. Hunley was the co-owner, president, and Master Brick Mason of Hunley Construction and taught Brick Laying at Patrick Henry Community College. He later retired from Frith Construction as a supervisor.

Mr. Hunley is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sherry Hunley of the residence; mother, Esther Brugh Hunley of the residence; daughter, Stacey Wyatt and husband John of Fieldale, VA; son, Wesley Michael Hunley and wife Alissa of Collinsville, VA; sister, Deirdre Honaker of MO; brother, Alfred “Shot” Hunley and wife Pat of Snow Creek, VA; and grandchildren, Kelsey Wyatt and Kerrigan Hunley.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Norris Funeral Chapel, Martinsville, VA. The family will also receive friends and family at 3541 Barrows Mill Rd. Martinsville, VA.

Memorial donations may be made to Fieldale Community Center at 70 Marshall Way, Fieldale, VA 24089 or the SPCA of Martinsville-Henry County at 132 Joseph Martin Hwy. Martinsville, VA 24112.
