Obituary for Carolyn Hall Johnston

Carolyn Hall Johnston, 70, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She was born on July 2, 1947 to the late Posey Hall and Virgie Isley Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Johnston; and son, Timothy Johnston.

Mrs. Johnston was a great mother, wife, and grandmother who loved the Lord, was a devout Christian, and a member of Chatham Heights Baptist church.

She is survived by her daughter, KK Wuest and husband Frank of Hickory, NC; son, John Johnston and wife Irina of Green Bay, VA; brother, Garry W. Hall and wife Candace of Martinsville, VA; and grandchildren, Alexander Johnston, Morgan Wuest, Steven Wuest, Jackson Wuest, and Johnston Wuest.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Roselawn Burial Park with Dr. Mike Hatfield officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the family’s residence at 527 Woodlawn Ave. Martinsville, VA.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Shawn Smith and the guys at Wayne’s Auto Center for the kindness they showed to Carolyn. Also to Pat, Brenda, neighbors, family, and friends, thank you for all of your kindness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chatham Heights Baptist Church, 1235 Chatham Heights, Martinsville, VA 24112.
