Obituary for Albert Joseph "Joe" Lee

Albert Joseph “Joe” Lee died Monday, February 19, 2018, at his home in Collinsville, VA. He was born December 7, 1930, in Fairmont, North Carolina to the late David Albert and Lollie Huggins Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Martha and his sister, Mary Hill. Also surviving are his children, “Chip” Lee of West End, NC; David Lee of Fayetteville, NC; Beth Lilley of Walkertown, NC; Patrick Lee of Hartsville, SC; and April Horton of Camden, SC; his step-children, Lynn Mabe; Marshall Prillaman; and Denise Phillips of Penhook, VA; fourteen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Joe was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church, served as a volunteer in the “Good News Jail & Prison Ministry” for 25 years, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Starling Avenue Baptist Church with visitation at 12:00 noon and the service at 1:00 p.m.
